Adolf de Leuven
Adolphe de Leuven , właściwie hrabia Adolphe de Ribbing , pseudonim także Grenvallet (* 1800 , † 14 kwietnia 1884 ) był francuskim reżyserem teatralnym i librecistą .
Życie
Leuven był synem Adolfa Ribbinga , który wraz z Jacobem Johanem Anckarströmem i innymi spiskowcami zamordował króla Gustawa III. Szwecji . Napisał ponad 170 sztuk i libretta, których opera Der Postillon von Lonjumeau przez Adolphe Adam był szczególnie dobrze znane. Jak kilku innych, napisał ten utwór wspólnie z Léonem-Lévy Brunswickiem . Wraz z Camille du Locle był współdyrektorem Opéra-Comique w Paryżu w latach 1862-1874.
Libretto do Le Brasseur de Preston , kolejnej opery Adama, posłużyło Johannowi Nestroyowi jako szablon dla jego farsy Barwiarz i jego brat bliźniak .
