Studio One
Studio One jest jednym z najbardziej udanych jamajskiej wytwórni reggae . Została założona w Kingston w 1963 roku przez Clementa „Coxsone” Dodda .
Dodd prowadził studio nagrań od 1963 roku przy Brentford Road w Kingston. Od tego czasu stała się ważnym jamajskim studiem ska i reggae. W 1965 roku studio zostało wyposażone w dwuścieżkowy, a później w ośmiotorowy rejestrator, co było wówczas na Jamajce ewenementem, bo takie technicznie wyposażone studio było niezwykłe jak na jamajskie standardy. The Jamaica Record Manufacturing Company Ltd. a wytwórnie Studio One i Coxsone również były częścią studia.
W każdą niedzielę odbywały się przesłuchania w Studio One i odkryto wielu utalentowanych śpiewaków.
